About tasks

The site supervisor is, defined by law, the representative of the beneficiary in front of the state. Beneficiary is any person who wants to build a building of any kind.

Being a site supervisor means to be a civil engineer (in this case, there are inspectors on all specialties: building, electrical, mechanical systems) and have passed the exam that certifies project supervisors. Inspectoratul de Stat in Constructii assigns an identification number to each graduate and the right to sign for “site supervisor”.

The exact role of site supervisor is found in building regulations and is explained for each stage of the project: preliminary stage of the project in execution, project execution stage, reception and stage “after work completion acceptance”.

Basically, the site supervisor verifies the correspondence between the documents related to issuance of building permit documentation (DTAC) and technical project, checks the correctness of execution of works according to the technical project , solves execution problems with the help of the designer, verifies the situations of works according to the execution contract, follows the term of execution of the work and tracks the works according to the time schedule set at the beginning of the work. The site supervisor is also the connecting person between the beneficiary and Inspectoratul de Stat in Constructii.
