Process steps

I have recently learned that what we do well through intuition has been studied and put into words by people who are concerned with the root of things – the true purpose that leads us in one direction or another. One of these people is Simon Sinek who put the logic of things into words through the book “START WITH WHY”

Starting from the structure of the Golden Circle: why / how / what, my introspection is the following:

WHY project management? Because the world of construction, as a college professor told me (and in our discussion it was about Statics), is the world of “common sense”.

Construction is simple as a process, when you know what it is about and what are the steps to follow.

I believe that anyone can understand and follow with confidence the construction of their own house or project. With the right help, with the optimal collaboration, with the exact understanding of the wishes / requirements of the beneficiary.

This is my belief: things are simple if we want it and if we make it simple.

Simplicity comes when, following the study, the experience, the research, the knowledge settles and their logic is so obvious that it can be expressed in a few words. Simplicity comes with becoming the person who wants it; with the burning of the inner desire to discover.

HOW project management?

First we know each other; I understand together with the client his needs and put them on paper. We validate them and take the next step. I make a plan: what we start with, where we end, how we do exactly every step, how we fit into the constraints of the beneficiary. We start the execution of the planned steps. We monitor what is happening and compare it with what we put on paper. We correct the execution or revise the planning, as the case may be.

We have results – in stages (deadlines imposed) or for the entire project. We validate the result of the intermediate stages together. We take corrective measures or validate the execution / works and go to the next stage.

We are finishing the project. We conclude the whole project, we hand over the documentation prepared until the end, we draw up a final report, we analyze from where we left and where we arrived, what were the deviations and why they appeared, we analyze what we could have done better, what we learned and how we evolved together.

The things, the strengths that make this collaboration easy and that I cultivate constantly, are: the care for the client, the total involvement in what we establish together, the desire to achieve the proposed goal in terms of performance and customer satisfaction, to listen and implement as much as possible. of many possible desires and patience, the patience with me, with the client and with all those directly or indirectly involved in the project.

WHAT? consultancy

Everything that is discussed and the offer of solutions is materialized in consulting. I think one of the advantages of consulting is the speed with which you reach a conclusion or a decision.

WHAT? project management

Analysis of initial documentation, preparation of documentation for effective planning, development of this project management plan with the team involved in the project, establishing the approach of the project, monitoring the execution and alignment with planned, monitoring and control of results and taking corrective actions, completion the project with the validation of the results and the conclusions mentioned above.

WHAT? site management, civil engineering, 2.2 specialization

Checking the correctness of the execution of the works, according to the plans of the technical execution project; discussing and analyzing the corrective solutions, their implementation following their validation by the specialized designer; maintaining relations with the State Authorities. The duties of the site manager are established concretely in the contract signed between the parties. There is a standard documentation with which a site supervisor does, but depending on the needs of the beneficiary they are defined and requested by contract.
